Ensemble Ramé

Founded in spring 2023, Ensemble Ramé aims to explore the wonderful diversity of chamber music repertoire, combine rarely performed works with classics and share their passion with the audience.

The three musicians, Jiayi Chen (violin), Marilies Guschlbauer (cello) and Siyue Zhang (piano), met as part of their studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and, as Ensemble Ramé, won three awards from the ISA – International Summer Academy in August 2023, including the Bohuslav Martinů Prize, the Piano Chamber Music Prize and the Vienna Classical Music Prize. They were invited to perform at the “Licht ins Dunkel” gala on Austrian television, will take part in the “Fest für Haydn” on ORF 3 in spring 2024 and are scheduled to play Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in Vienna. They have been invited to perform in Lithuania as a guest ensemble of the ECMA.

Ensemble Ramé is currently being mentored by Prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian and Prof. Johannes Meissl as part of the Chamber Music Master’s program and has received further musical impulses from Hatto Beyerle, Peter Schuhmayer, Marianna Shirinyan and Vida Vujic.
